INSTRUCTIONS
FINAL PROJECT
INSTRUCTION:
Based on FLIP group topic research, produce a basic video
animation.
DESCRIPTION:
Using a processed design framework, you will now produce an infographic
report to present the given information to a ‘target audience’ with the
purpose of:
1. Creating awareness (such as Global Warming, Recycle, etc.)
2. Explaining a process (such as "how to" video)
3. Defining a concept (such as "What is Fast Fashion", "What is Color
Wheel", etc.)
Any time based media and software using photography, vector
imagery.
Design Considerations:
● Organization Principles – LATCH and Content Organization
● Aesthetic Principles – Animation principles
● Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization
Output Expectation:
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each assessment
rubric of sorts to your final outcome:
● Show causality
● Multivariate graphics and visuals
● Integrate word number and images
● Content count
● Within eyesight
● Use multiple charts
● Do not de-quantify
REQUIREMENT:
Video resolution: 1920px x 1080px HD (min 1.5 mins max 3 mins)
SUBMISSION:
1. A ± 3 minute animated infographic uploaded into YouTube
(unlisted)
2. Digital compilation into your Google Drive Folder
3. Online posts in your E-portfolio as your reflective studies(Please

Progress
Progress (week 1 - week 7)
In Week 1, we brainstormed three proposal topics and assigned roles to
each group member. We chose “The Importance of a Balanced Diet” due to its
relevance and potential impact on public health awareness.

By Week 2 we developed the mood board, selected our color scheme and
typography, and created wireframes and sketches for the video. The content
was divided into four main scenes: definition, benefits, recommendations,
and a call to action.

After completing the animation phase, the editing team began combining all the
scenes into a full video. Once the visuals were arranged, we added the
voice-over and background sound effects to enhance the storytelling and create
a more engaging viewing experience. In Week 7, we presented our final project
to the lecturers. The lecturers gave us constructive feedback regarding the
flow, clarity, and visual pacing of the video. Based on their suggestions, we
revised and refined the video to improve its overall quality. These
adjustments helped make the final output more polished, informative, and
visually appealing.

REFLECTIONS
Working on the animated infographic project titled “The Importance of a
Balanced Diet” has been a truly valuable learning experience for both me and
my team. Throughout the process, I gained a deeper understanding of how to
apply design frameworks like LATCH to organize content in a clear and
effective way. I also explored animation and cognitive principles to create
visuals that are engaging, informative, and easy to comprehend.
One of the most meaningful aspects of this project was the collaborative
nature of the work. From brainstorming and illustrating to animating and
editing, each stage required strong communication and time management. By
dividing tasks according to our individual strengths and supporting one
another throughout the process, we were able to work efficiently and stay on
track.
Presenting our final video to the lecturers in Week 7 was a key moment.
Their feedback gave us valuable insights, allowing us to refine our visuals
and enhance the clarity of the overall message. I also developed my
technical skills by working with Adobe Illustrator and After Effects,
especially in preparing assets for smooth motion design. Overall, this
project has not only improved my proficiency with design tools but also
strengthened my teamwork and problem-solving abilities. I’m proud of what
we’ve accomplished, and this experience will definitely benefit me in future
design challenges.
